US Baseball Commissioner declares Tour de France a tie.
NEW YORK NY Nearing the end of the first week of the world's most prestigious bicycle race, US Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig announced today that he was declaring the normally three-week-long Tour de France to be over, and that the race would be recorded as a tie. The announcement followed by only two days Selig's similar decision to end the American Baseball All Star Game as a tie after the game entered extra innings. "Events such as this not only stress the athletes, but by emphasizing competition they jeopardize the true meaning of professional $ports," declared Selig.
